SUMMARY:LWS at RiverRun International Film Festival
DESCRIPTION:Lights\, Camera\, Community: Join LWS at RiverRun \nYou are invited to experience an evening where film meets one of our community's most important conversations. Join fellow alumni and current class members at the RiverRun International Film Festival for a screening of The Dwellers\, a powerful film exploring the realities and human impact of housing in community. As Leadership Winston-Salem has focused on housing as a social issue this year\, this screening offers a unique opportunity to engage with the topic through storytelling that challenges perspectives\, sparks dialogue\, and highlights the real-life implications of housing access and stability. This is also an opportunity for the LWS network to support Lynn Rhoades\, Executive Director of Authoring Action and Flagship 1996-Winston alum\, and Emily Harkins\, Lead Pastor & Developer of The Dwelling and Flagship 2026 class member. RiverRun is one of Winston-Salem's most celebrated cultural events\, bringing together filmmakers\, artists\, and community members from around the world. This is a chance to experience the festival together while reflecting on an issue that deeply affects the vitality of our community. Together\, we'll engage with a story that highlights why housing matters not just as infrastructure\, but as the foundation for opportunity\, stability\, and belonging. Seats are limited grab your ticket and join us for an evening of film\, insight\, and connection.
